Security and Permissions
When uploading files you can select Standard or Custom security. When you select custom security you can specify permissions for individual members or entire member lists. By choosing custom security you can adjust permissions that are different from permissions on group level or the custom security of the parent folder.
- Standard – When you place items in a group using the default security setting Standard, they will automatically adopt the same permissions as the location (Folder, Calendar, Startpage) they are placed in
- Custom – If you want to specify who can read, add, edit, and manage files, select the security setting Custom when you place items in a group. As owner of the placed items (document, note, appointment, etcetera), you can adjust the permissions on it.
Per item you can adjust the permissions:
- Select the item
- Click Actions > Permissions
- Select Custom
- Adjust the permissions per member
When a member has no permissions on an item, the member has no access to the item.
- Click Save
